White Countertop Selection For Gray Kitchen Cabinets
As a rule of thumb, in kitchen remodeling, one of the kitchen design elements is taken as the constant element and the others vary based on the selection. If the gray cabinets are the constant element, the backsplash and counter selection are the parameters. This may change from one homeowner to another but below three options are helpful.
The Plain White Counter: Mostly man-made countertops are used such as Caesarstone, Silestone, Quartz, Hanstone, Cambria Quartz, Spectrum, Corian, etc. In natural granite and marble, it is hard to find pure plain white. These are all good combinations of any shade of gray if minimalistic and sustainable kitchen design is the main target.
Marble Look White Counter: Since marble is porous and not recommended for kitchen countertops the man-made marble look white counters carry elegance and eternity into the kitchen. Here the most important part is matching the vein colors with the gray cabinet colors. Please ask your interior designer or remodeling service. In my opinion, these are the best match for the new face of the kitchen. They can be found either in manmade brands or in onyx and granite countertops as well.
The Patterned White Counter: There should be some cloud shapes, small homogenous patterns, and some stripes on it. So, it can be found either in natural stones or manmade slabs. Same as the marble-looking white counter, the pattern color will be in the same color code as your gray cabinets.
Gray Cabinet Selection For White Countertops
Here the constant element is your counter. Therefore playing with gray shades and pairing them with the white counter seems confusing. Gray has many shades. A simple classification of the gray cabinet paint colors is insightful for the next remodeling project:
Neutral Gray Cabinets: It is also known as, warm gray cabinets and greige cabinets. The pastel earthy tones brighten the kitchen. I can call them happy gray.
Blackish Smokey Gray Cabinets: Dark gray cabinets replace the black cabinets as a modern substitute. It will bring strong contrast and for me, these are bold gray or rich gray.
Off Gray Cabinets: The definition comes with the idea of inexact since it has many red, blue, and green inside and these are changing from one hue to another. These colors just trigger the imagination and I can name as playful gray.
The other way to have the right gray cabinet for a matching white countertop is the gray-stained cabinet. The maple is the best wood to turn into an art piece with gray-stained cabinets.
Backsplash Selection For Gray Cabinets With White Countertops
The backsplash selection for gray cabinets with white counter is a piece of cake. The aim is to show the gray cabinets and white counters so the basics will be given below:
Backsplash Color For Gray Cabinets And White Counter: Lacquered tiles, semi-gloss tiles, or matte finish tiles in white, cream, and ivory colors are the safe bet.
Backsplash Material For Gray Cabinets And White Counter: Marble tiles, glass tiles, porcelain tiles, and ceramic tiles can be used without hesitation.
Backsplash Styles For Gray Cabinets And White Counter: Subway backsplash, arabesque backsplash, chevron layout, matchstick backsplash, and herringbone backsplash have the most satisfying styles.
